No Warranty
Rolester is provided "as is" under the MIT License, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. In no event shall the authors or copyright holders be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from use of the software.
User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for every job application you submit. Rolester generates drafts and fills forms on your behalf; you must review and approve each submission. The tool is not a party to any application and accepts no liability for its accuracy, completeness, or consequences.
Opt-in auto-submit. By default Rolester halts before final submission and waits
for your explicit confirmation. If you enable auto_submit in
candidate/form-defaults.yml, Rolester may submit a form without per-submission
confirmation. Before enabling that option, review every field in that file and
confirm the pre-filled answers are accurate and complete — you are solely
responsible for the content of submissions made in auto-submit mode.
Terms of Service Compliance
Each job board, applicant tracking system, and employer site has its own Terms of Service. By using Rolester, you agree to comply with all applicable terms. Rolester is designed for individual, good-faith job searching — not for bulk scraping, automated mass-apply spam, or any use that would violate a site's rules.
No Fabrication
Rolester never invents facts. It tailors language around evidence you supply. Do not instruct it to claim qualifications, employers, degrees, metrics, or tools you do not possess. Misrepresentation on job applications may constitute fraud and is solely your responsibility.
Data Privacy
Your candidate data (profile, evidence, compensation) is stored locally on your
machine inside the candidate/ directory, which is gitignored by default. Rolester
does not transmit your personal data to any Rolester-operated server. Data may be
sent to third-party AI provider APIs (e.g., via Claude Code) in the course of
generating tailored content — review those providers' privacy policies before use.
No Legal or Career Advice
Nothing in this software or its documentation constitutes legal, employment, or career advice. Consult qualified professionals for guidance specific to your situation.
